Better Barrel Wine Co. Launches the Ultimate Wine on Tap System

Santa Rosa, CA (PRWEB) July 19, 2011

Better Barrel Wine Company announced today the release and availability of the Better Barrel, an innovative, new wine dispense system designed to protect wine quality while speeding the adoption and growth of environmentally-friendly wine-on-tap programs.

Unlike existing traditional poured-from-bottle and keg-based wine-by-the-glass solutions, the patent-pending Better Barrel system eliminates all peripheral equipment needed for wine by the glass service and drastically reduces the costs and resources associated with the transportation, proper storage and management of gas cylinders, kegs, tap equipment, refrigerators and glass bottles glass bottles are currently the largest source of carbon emissions from the wine industry.

Ease of Implementation

Leveraging a combination of traditional aesthetics with state-of-the art wine packaging technology, the Better Barrel system is traditionally made from fire-bent White Oak and is hand assembled. It does not use returnable kegs and therefore, does not require a costly and complex supply chain unsupported by traditional wine distributors. A compact, self-contained system which includes on-board electronic temperature control, the Better Barrel does not require custom installation or refrigeration equipment. In addition, it does not require the gas or the bacteria-harboring dispense tubing and tap equipment required for all kinds of wine dispense systems and does not displace the revenue of existing beer tap lines.

Designed to require minimal shelf-space, the Better Barrel can be installed nearly flush with a rear wall on a shelf or counter and operates on low-voltage from a standard wall socket. It does not require any facilitization and is completely plug and play.

First 100 Units to be Released in October 2011 to California Market

Better Barrel will be releasing the first 100 individually hand-assembled and sequentially serial numbered dispense systems and related custom-labeled wine to on-premise operators in October 2011. The Better Barrel is priced at $ 199. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Better Barrel as the initial release is anticipated to sell out quickly.

Platform Open to Other Wine Brands for Greater Consumer Choice

Better Barrel is also offering its innovative wine dispenser to wine brands wishing to participate in the wine-on-tap market. Partner wine brands are ensured that their wines are always served fresh and at the proper temperature. They can package their wines in the Better Barrel format for a small license fee and release their own branded dispenser through their normal distribution channels giving on-premise operators and consumers an array of wine choices.

In addition, Better Barrel plans to announce its own ultra-premium wine brand in the coming weeks which focuses on individual lots of distinctive red and white wines. Wineries interested in participating in wine-on-tap through the innovative Better Barrel system are encouraged to contact Better Barrel for more information.

Cyl-Tec Installed CO2 Beverage System For Winter Events at Colts Stadium

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 28, 2011

The playoffs are stirring around the corner for the NFL. The college bowl season is among us which means another favorite American pastime is among us as well, having fresh, cold beverages with loved ones. Though the classic image many have of such in-game refreshment involves enjoying a beer from the tap with friends, it can just as often amount to a quiet moment spent sipping a bubbling soda pop with ones children, nephews, or nieces. Fortunately, advances in beverage carbonation cylinder technology that have been led by Cyl-Tec now ensure that every drink thats drawn from a tap or fountain at a sports stadium or other public venue will always taste crisp, smooth, and fresh. Cyl-Tec has designed, provided for and installed the entire nine tank cryogenic CO2 beverage system for the new Indiana Colts stadium.

In particular, the widespread construction of new football, baseball, and other athletic complexes at the professional, college, and even high school levels throughout the 1990s and 2000s has led to a new standard in patron and concessionary services. Many of these recently completed and planned stadiums, for instance, were developed to make locations dedicated to providing food and drink more accessible to individuals of all age groups while they, simultaneously, introduced utilities that raised the standards for every consumable served. This means that many recently-completed stadiums have had their concession stands built around beverage carbonation cylinders like Cyl-Tecs Fast Fill 500, which is the industry-leader in cryogenic CO2 storage. Capable of keeping up to 500 lbs of liquefied gas cool and ready for use with dispensing or carbonating drinks, the Fast Fill 500, along with other Cyl-Tec cylinders that are designed to store pressurized, liquefied gas, is an ideal match for the dispensing needs of many ballparks and stadiums, including those at the college and high school level, because it can help pour drinks quickly and for extended periods of time without having to be refilled. This is due to a capacity for higher vaporization that allows for more gas per volume that, in turn, means venues, be they concert halls, pubs, or stadiums, can serve more people, faster, and with better tasting drinks than anything else on the market.

Most of Americas sports and other athletic facilities date back several generations, though. Because many have become a part of the history of the teams they host, these older sites are also unlikely to undergo modifications or reconstructions that might change their basic layout. The fans that migrate to their bleachers every autumn, however, can still enjoy the convenient beverage dispensing services that products like the Fast Fill 500 and other Cyl-Tec beverage carbonation cylinders provide. This is because Cyl-Tecs team of experienced beverage carbonation engineers specializes in developing beverage distribution systems for older buildings as well as newer ones. With relative ease, they can inspect any school or professional teams stadium, talk to vendors, administrative officials, and facility management staff about the venues specific needs, and then design a system that can deliver fresh, cold beverages to patrons in convenient, economical ways. Cyl-Tec can even provide the technical support and continuing analysis thats needed to maximize the value of an advanced beverage carbonation system for years to come.

Alex Johnson Hotel Debuts WineStation Intelligent Preservation and Dispensing System

Rapid City, South Dakota (PRWEB) February 21, 2012

With a history of providing luxury and innovation reaching back to the roaring twenties, the Alex Johnson hotel is revolutionizing the city skyline by changing both where and the way wine is being served with the introduction of the WineStation intelligent preservation and dispensing system. "We are excited to offer our guests a chance to experience an assortment of High-End wines," said Caleb Arceneaux, CEO at ISIS Hospitality, LLC

The 8-bottle WineStation system located in both Vertex Sky Bar and Paddy ONeills Pub will allow guests to sample high end varietals seldom poured by the glass, in the pristine and temperature controlled environment that the wine maker intended.

The WineStation provides guests the ability to experience a range of featured wines in taste (1 oz), half (3 oz) or full glass (6 oz) options. Unique and high end wines such as a 2006 Dunham, 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2006 Silver Oak Alexander Valley, are now available by the glass.

Our guests are growing more and more discerning about their wines and requesting unique and high-end wines to try by the glass, said Jim, Fahey, Director of Food & Beverage. We needed the most effective, intelligent wine preservation system that would allow us to provide the smartest glass of wine every time. Fahey continues, If our guests have discerning palates or are just beginning to develop their appreciation for fine wines, the WineStation will let them explore a wide variety of new and unique tastes.

As guests cut back on ordering bottles, wines by the glass across the country are catching up to bottle sales because a glass provides the restaurant guest with more opportunity to explore higher priced wines, or indulge in small doses. For the Alex Johnson Hotel, it is an opportunity to manage inventories while reducing waste.

A robust wine by the glass list can help restaurants increase revenue by allowing the consumer to taste a higher priced wine that might be cost prohibitive by the bottle, said Nick Moezidis, VP of Sales for Napa Technology. A wine preservation system like the WineStation is imperative for any property that wants to have a competitive and cost effective wine program.

Review : Absolute Perfection!
*UPDATE 11-10-11* Apparently the design and sale of this mount has changed since my original review. It's now easier to install, and comes with an HDMI cable and level. Otherwise, most of my review still stands.

I was planning to make my own TV mount because all the affordable ones were so cheaply made. That was until I stumbled on this one for $25.

Wow, was I surprised when it arrived! Very nicely double-boxed and packaged extremely well. Then the construction is quality all the way, right down to the chrome-plated nuts, screws and bushings. This mount was manufactured and boxed as if it were a high-dollar item.

It only took about 15 minutes to have my 37" LG firmly hanging on the wall. Oh, and I did it all by myself.

I can't comment on the mount-to-TV screws because my LG already provided them. And I did use my own 5/16" flat washers on 2 of the lag screws since none were included, but that's just my preference.

I highly...
